Martinsburg High School has a well-balanced and successful band program and is under the direction of Bulldog Band Alumni, Mrs. Casie Rogers Adams, MHS Class of 2009. The MHS Bulldog Marching Band competes in the Tournament of Bands and has won 1st place in Group IV at TOB Chapter Championships in 2010, 2011, 2021, 2022, & 2023. The Bulldog Marching Band is a 2x winner for 2nd Place in the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Parade in 2023 and 2024. The Jazz Ensemble has received a “Superior” rating in the Eastern Regional Jazz Festival in 2021 & 2022. The Concert Band has also received consistent “Superior” ratings since 2021. In addition to the Marching, Jazz, and Concert Ensembles, Martinsburg High School also has an award-winning Show Choir Band and Steel Drum Ensemble. The Bulldog Band program has grown to 130 members strong in 2024!
The MHS Bulldog Marching Band was proud to represent Martinsburg High School and Berkeley County, WV in a performance in the Disney Parade in Magic Kingdom on April 3, 2024, the first time since 2005. The Bulldog Marching Band has been accepted to perform in the 2025 National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, DC on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
